Types of Business Web PagesIn our many years working with businesses, we have discovered that there are seven main types of business web pages that any business can use to their advantage: brochure, lead generation, blog, social media, membership, sales and e-commerce.  At Digital Success Advantage, we can help you decide which of these pages works best for your business and help you set up a digital strategy to leverage the power of the internet to meet your goals.

Brochure Page

A brochure is one of the little pamphlets you hand out with all the info about your business.   On the internet a brochure page is a web page with a specific amount of pages that rarely change.  It is called a brochure page because it just presents information.  Most business web pages we run across are the brochure type of page.

Lead Generation Page

A lead generating web page is a page that is set up to collect information. The goal of this type of web page is to get customers to connect with your business.   There may be a special offer or a video seminar (called a webinar) that asks the customer to enter their contact information.  This information is collected by the business and used to make a follow-up sale with the customer.

Blog

A blog is a series of posts set up in a reverse chronological order…basically, the newer posts are first.  Blogs can be helpful as a news source for your specific business.  Many owners use blogs as a way to talk about what is going on in the business and create deeper connections with customers and prospects.

Social Media

Social media are things like Facebook, Google+, Youtube and Twitter, among hundreds of others.  Businesses use these ‘micro-blogs’ to share information and connect with customers.  A strong strategy is crucial when developing a social media connection for your business.

Membership

Membership pages usually have a login page with special passwords.  This gives access to special resources for their members.  These could be for customers, employees or prospects.  The use of membership pages does not work for all business models, but when used right, businesses can automate specific systems within their business structure.

Sales Page

A sales page is exactly how it sounds. It is a page that lists all the benefits of a product or service and why you should buy from them.  At the bottom of the page is the price with a buy now button.  There are many types of sales pages, but usually they are one page with a video or a series of bullet points highlighting benefits and asking for a purchase.

E-commerce

E-commerce pages are like a store online.  There are large conglomerate pages like Amazon and even Ebay, as well as small shops where business owners put their wares online for anyone to browse and buy.  A well built commerce site is a place where customers can see, search and review items before they purchase.
